I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Health Funders (BHF) as a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice.
I am passionate about reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, and supporting individuals to live life more optimally. I offer a safe, collaborative treatment space, allowing you to find healthier ways of thinking about and managing your current difficulties.
Areas of interest
I enjoy working with adults who may be struggling with:
Mood disorders such as grief, loss or depression as well as bipolar mood disorder
Trauma, stress or anxiety disorders such as PTSD, OCD, panic attacks and generalised anxiety disorder
Difficulties related to anger management
Addiction disorders (including support for family members)
Personality Disorders
Group therapy
Background information:
I completed my Bachelor of Psychology (B.Psych) degree at the University of the Western Cape, and worked as an addictions care practitioner before completing my Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch. Subsequently, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples in various settings. These included a community clinic, at a tertiary psychiatric hospital, within the Department of Correctional Services as well as private mental health hospitals.
